HOW IT WORKS
The station writes the notes
The seed and the movement number are hashed into a key, tempo, density, register, decay and a 16-step pattern. Same inputs give the same music on any machine.
The scale keeps it consonant
—Minor pentatonic has no semitone and no tritone, so whatever notes the hash picks, nothing clashes.
Your browser plays it
Web Audio only: plucked triangle and sine voices, a sawtooth pad, a sine bass, a synthesised reverb and a limiter. No samples, no libraries.
Nothing here is random at playback time. Every note is derived from the station seed and Arc's block height, so everyone tuned to the same station hears the same movement at the same time, on any machine. The chain keeps the clock — nobody, including whoever built this, gets to choose what it plays.
